Georgia Police Department Lends a Hand to Fellow Agency to Help Solve Mail Theft Case

As mail theft continues to adversely impact the Atlanta area, agencies like the Georgia Police Department are using Clearview AI’s investigative platform to help identify these perpetrators and help support inter-agency collaboration in the region.

Officers from the Milton Police Department had few leads in their most recent mail theft investigation and reached out to the Georgia Police Department for help. An investigator ran the unknown suspect’s image in Clearview AI and generated a quality lead for the Milton Police Department in seconds.

Cold Case Solved by Fairfield Task Force Allows for Inter-agency Collaboration

Fairfield Athens Major Crimes Unit Task Force hit a roadblock in a cold drug conspiracy case, when they were unable to identify their primary target. The only piece of information known was the target’s drug supplier’s nickname. The case was reopened in 2019 when the supplier's nickname appeared in another case, and phone records produced a photo with the supplier standing next to the former target. Clearview AI provided a potential identity, which was later confirmed. Multiple agencies across the country had investigative interest in the same target and this identification allowed for crucial inter-agency coordination.
